Your first acupuncture session is all about understanding you, no rushing, no guesswork.

Here's what to expect:

  • A relaxed chat about your health history, your symptoms and what's brought you in

  • A thorough assessment to make sure acupuncture is the right fit for your condition and goals

  • A treatment tailored to you, your practitioner selects specific acupuncture points for your body

  • Fine needles, far thinner than the ones used for injections. Most people feel little to nothing, then relax for 15–30 minutes as the treatment takes effect

  • Where it's helpful, gentle warming therapy (moxibustion) to ease tension and support recovery

  • We can open an ACC claim if you need one
